How our CCC cream (and all of our products) work well together
At their core, CLE products are meant to work together. While each one can certainly be worn alone or even mixed with other brands of makeup, the sweet spot is layering our products together to create an easy, dewy everyday look.
Two questions we receive often is whether or not you can mix our CCC Cream with foundation, and whether or not you need to use a primer before applying CCC Cream. In short, you can definitely mix our CCC Cream with foundation, and, while you definitely can apply a traditional primer on your skin ahead of CCC Cream, it’s not required. But let’s get into the longer version…
Layering CCC Cream
If you haven’t read our blog about our CCC Cream and the differences between it and other CC and BB creams (and tinted moisturizers!) start here. As we mentioned, the beauty of our CCC cream is that you don’t need to prep your skin with a primer before putting it on, as it color corrects and smooths skin leaving you with an even, dewy effect. It’s also packed with tons of hydrating ingredients and SPF 50, so it doubles as your moisturizer and daily sun protection. If you still love using a primer, though, you can apply it on cleansed skin before adding CCC cream.
While CCC Cream does indeed color correct and leave a sheer, dewy finish to skin, foundation lovers that prefer some extra coverage might want to layer CCC Cream with a product that blurs imperfections a bit more. The beauty of CCC Cream is that you can totally layer it with your favorite foundation without looking cakey or heavy. Before applying foundation, warm up a small amount of CCC Cream in between the palms of your hands and rub it into freshly cleansed skin until it’s fully absorbed. Because CCC Cream does have a coverage component to it, you won’t need to go in too heavily with your foundation. Layering the two leaves gives skin that effortless, no-makeup makeup look.

We formulated Melting Lip Powder to be flexible and easy to apply, which is why we like to use it on our cheeks and eyelids for a flush of natural color. The small, doe foot applicator is perfect for pinpointing exactly where you want a pop of bold color. When we’re in a hurry or on the go, we’ll blend it in with our fingertips and create a perfectly smudged, flushed look.
