CC Cream stands for color correction cream. CC creams are great for evening out skin tone and creating the appearance of a seamless complexion without looking matte or heavy. While CC creams can be worn alone for sheer, tinted coverage, they can also be worn under foundations as a smoothing primer thanks to their color correcting capabilities.
BB Cream stands for beauty balm or blemish balm–blurs imperfections and helps to smooth the appearance of skin. BB creams offer lightweight, low-level coverage and act as an alternative to heavier foundations. It offers the lightest level of coverage and doesn’t necessarily come in a wide shade range because it’s so sheer.
Tinted Moisturizer acts as moisturizer on skin with a hint of color and may vary in degree of coverage. Most tinted moisturizers are equipped with SPF, so they can double as your daily sun protection and moisturizer. A key difference between tinted moisturizers and BB and CC creams is its consistency. Many CC creams may be used on a regular basis however, we recommend using our CCC Cream instead of a CC cream as it will act as a primer, and provides moisturizing hydration. CCC Cream offers substantial coverage and sun protection (SPF50) in an all-in-one product.
Can I only use CC cream alone for party makeup?
Yes, you can use CC cream alone for party makeup. If you prefer a less is more look then CC cream will provide you enough coverage. If you plan on being outside for any length of time, we recommend something that will keep your skin hydrated and protected like our CLE Cosmetics CCC Cream with broad spectrum SPF 50.
What if I use BB cream over CC cream? Will it give a better look?
